According to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), the first half of 2009 has been the warmest year for the entire Earth on record. The NOAA also reports that global ocean surface temperatures in June set a record high also. Apparently the Earth is running a fever and not everything can be blamed on nasty Mr. El Nino. Look out for some weather extremes the rest of this year and into the next.
