Fall Bird Migration

Northern birds may be heading south early according to emailed messages of Kansas bird watchers. Warblers, a small woodland species of birds that pass through Kansas, have been sighted in eastern parts of the state. I took this picture of a Prairie Falcon last week that was likely starting back south. The weather in the northeast part of the continent has been cooler than normal, thus the birds have begun fall migration. Last week temperatures in the northwest were setting all-time records. I understand El Nino has kicked in again, which means a winter of abnormal weather patterns. Sounds like ol' mother nature can't find a balance lately. Is this part of the shifting global climate?
